Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 June 2026 · Applies to the Kollel Torah Panamá website (koleltorah.com) and mobile app.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Kollel Torah Panamá (“the Kollel,” “we,” “us”) collects through its website and mobile application (together, the “Service”), how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by Kollel Torah Panamá, a Torah-learning and community-outreach organization based in Panama. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@koleltorah.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

3. How we use and share your information

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the Service (for example, secure hosting and data storage, email delivery, and payment processing). They may use your information only to provide their service to us, under confidentiality and data-protection obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We disclose information otherwise only when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a reorganization of the Kollel’s operations.

Where required, our legal bases are your consent, performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing the Service, and compliance with law (including Panama’s Law 81 of 2019 on the Protection of Personal Data).

4. How we protect your information

We use industry-standard safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, storing passwords only as irreversible, salted values, restricting access to personal data on a need-to-know basis, and keeping sensitive credentials off any app you download. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your information using current best practices.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account (see Section 7), we delete or anonymize your personal data, except records we must keep for legitimate reasons such as accounting and legal compliance (for example, donation records). Backups are rotated and removed over time.

6. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for adults and teens 16 years and older; this is enforced at sign-up, and accounts may not be created by children. The Service does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

The only children’s information in the Service is a child’s first name (and an optional note) that a parent or guardian voluntarily submits to request a place in a Kids Activity. It is provided and controlled by the adult, is visible only to Kollel staff who run the activity, is used solely for that purpose, and is deleted on request or when it is no longer needed. If you believe a child has provided us information without a parent’s involvement, contact info@koleltorah.com and we will remove it.

7. Your rights and choices

8. International processing

Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than Panama. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate security and data-protection commitments to keep your information protected.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
